Experience
Lynn Weinig represents owners, purchasers and real estate investors of commercial properties throughout the United States, providing her legal expertise in all aspects of real estate including development, purchase and sale transactions, leasing and financing. She represents both landlords and tenants in the leasing of retail, office, warehouses and other types of space on a nationwide basis. Ms. Weinig also manages complex development projects involving infrastructure, regulatory compliance, land use, environmental issues, construction contracts, and risk management.
Ms. Weinig’s close interaction with her clients and assistance in evaluating her clients' transactions from their inception has allowed her to develop a comprehensive understanding of the issues concerning commercial real estate from both a legal and business prospective. Her experience provides her with the ability to protect her clients' interests while achieving their goals.
Representative Matters
- Represent prominent not-for-profit organization in all aspects of its real estate matters, including leasing, construction of new buildings, and sales and acquisitions of real estate.
- Represent Canadian manufacturer in build-to-suit warehouse/manufacturing lease of 180,000 square feet in Ohio.
- Management of complex joint venture development project in upstate New York, including construction of hotel, multifamily and mixed use project, negotiating construction agreements and documents for compliance with site plan and subdivision requirements and retail leasing.
- Represent lender in multilayer ground lease financing for the Santa Monica pier.
- Represent large commercial real estate REIT on various real estate matters including sales of real estate and transactions pertaining to its interest in the retail/leasing component of the World Trade Center site.
- Represent prominent New York real estate holding company in multiple sales and acquisitions in Manhattan, including sale of contiguous Broadway properties and acquisition of multiple residential, mixed use and commercial properties in Manhattan.
- Represent seller in the sale of a large multifamily complex in Westchester County, New York.
- Represent real estate group in acquisition of $42 million portfolio of residential and mixed use buildings in Williamsburg.
- Represent real estate company in $40 million sale of office building in Ontario, California.
- Represent developer in acquisition of real estate for development as assisted living facility.
