On July 19, 2011, Crain's New York Business hosted its fourth annual event entitled The Future of New York City 2011: Meeting the Growth Challenge and invited Tony Coscia to moderate a panel that explored the topic Can the City Afford World Class Infrastructure?
The discussion considered the ongoing fiscal crisis, which has its grip on both federal and state government, and the investments required to maintain and improve public facilities to support economic growth. Mr. Coscia was joined by panelists from an infrastructure fund and a construction trade organization, as well as representatives from mass transit and city government agencies.
The keynote for the event was The Honorable Michael R. Bloomberg, Mayor of the City of New York.
