Crain's New York Names Kim Longo to Notable Women in Law 2026

This week, Crain's New York announced its 2026 list of Women in Law. We are pleased to share that Kim Longo, Partner, was named to the list.

She represents debtors, trustees, creditors and other parties in interest in bankruptcy and other proceedings of varying sizes. Her experience spans a wide range of bankruptcy matters, including general estate administration, the sale of some or all of a debtor's assets, the prosecution of avoidance and other actions, and the determination of claims. Since 2011, Ms. Longo’s primary focus has been bankruptcy-related litigation, most notably as one of two lead attorneys in the firm's representation of the Trustee for the SIPA liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC. Through this and other representations, she has successfully litigated in numerous federal courts, engaged in complex mediations/negotiations, and been at the forefront of emerging bankruptcy and other legal issues. 

She is an active member of the Turnaround Management Association - NY Chapter, including participation as a Board Member (2022-26); the Membership Committee (2025-2026 Vice Chair); the Programming Committee (2023-24); and the Network of Women Committee (2022 Chair). She is also a Fellow of the the Litigation Counsel of America, and a Member of the Leadership Council of Tina's Wish.

She received her J.D. from New York University School of Law (2001), and her B.S., magna cum laude, from Binghamton University (1994). She is licensed to practice in New York, United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
