Experience
Yara is an Associate, resident in the New York office, with a practice focused on chapter 11 cases, distressed transactions, bankruptcy litigation, cryptocurrency bankruptcy matters, and UCC Article 9 strict foreclosure sales. She has represented companies, creditors’ committees and creditors, DIP sponsors, and other interested parties across the spectrum of restructuring matters, including chapter 11 and subchapter V plans, adversary proceedings, nondischargeability and fraudulent transfer disputes, and nonconsolidation and true sale opinion work.
Prior to Windels Marx, Yara practiced in the New York offices of prominent AmLaw law firms in a similar capacity. Prior to private practice, Yara clerked for the Honorable Stacey L. Meisel of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.
