Experience
Sharon is Counsel, resident in the New York office. She represents individuals, banks and trust companies in a range of active estates and trusts matters, including the creation and implementation of sophisticated estate plans, gift-giving techniques, business succession planning, life insurance utility, and generation skipping transfers.
She also prepares wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts and related estate planning documents, including: defective grantor trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts and unitrusts, insurance trusts, self-cancelling installment notes, and family limited liability companies.
In addition, she represents fiduciaries and estate and trust beneficiaries in all phases of administration of estates and trusts, including probate proceedings, preparation of federal and state estate tax returns and gift tax returns, judicial and non-judicial accountings, and gift and estate tax audits.
Sharon also analyzes and resolves complex estate and gift planning issues and estate and trust administration issues on a multigenerational level.
Prior to Windels Marx, Sharon practiced at various boutique and legacy AmLaw 200 law firms.
