Experience
Dan Forchheimer's practice focuses on patent litigation in a Hatch-Waxman context.
Prior to Windels Marx, Dan was Senior Counsel for Complex Commercial and IP Litigation at Teva Pharmaceuticals. Prior to that, he was a Partner at an AmLaw 200 law firm where he represented and served as the primary contact for major corporations and smaller clients in connection with pending or threatened patent and trade secret litigation within the pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology disciplines. His work had a particular emphasis on Hatch-Waxman matters, including both branded and generic.
Dan was a Law Clerk for the Honorable Leonard D. Wexler, U.S.D.J., Eastern District of New York.
While in law school, he was Senior Editor of the Journal of Labor and Employment Law, in addition to being a member of the Equal Justice Foundation, the Jewish Law Students Association and a Morris Fellow. At Cornell University, he was among the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, the Treasurer of Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity, a Teaching Assistant and a member of the Product Development Team.
