Arlene Koutras Joins Windels Marx as Special Counsel

Windels Marx is pleased to announce that Arete “Arlene” Koutras has joined the firm as Special Counsel, resident in the New York office.

Arlene advises clients in a wide range of real estate matters with a particular focus on the representation of institutional lenders in the origination of mortgage loans in market rate and affordable housing transactions. Loans include secured and unsecured lines of credit, construction and permanent financings, direct debt transactions, bond financings, letter of credit transactions and tax credit equity investments.

She also has experience with portfolio and cross-collateralized loans at a national level, as well as other loans involving affordable housing subsidies, complex structures, ground leases, master leases, state housing finance agencies, local municipalities and low income housing tax credits.

Arlene is admitted to practice in New York and is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. She has an LL.M. in International Business and Trade Law from Fordham University School of Law (2002), a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School (2001) and a B.A. from Columbia College, Columbia University (1998).
