In re: NYCTL 2008-A Trust et al. v. Estate of Locksley Holas, a case in which the plaintiff is being represented by Bruce Bronster (Partner, New York) and Josef Abt (Associate, New York), both the front page of the New York Law Journal and Thomson Reuters' News & Insight included coverage on the unique development in the case.

Thomson Reuters reports: "The case involved an action brought to foreclose on a tax lien against property in Brooklyn. The plaintiff, a trust that owns the lien, moved for an order of reference to determine how much the defendant owed."

In a series of motions, judicial denials and further opportunities to renew the request, a paper filed in August 2010 was uncovered and found to be in compliance with previously established court orders. The Appellate Division, Second Department, reversed the Kings County Supreme Court's 2011 sua sponte dismissal of the tax-lien foreclosure action (Thomson Reuters).

Bruce Bronster was 'happy with the court's decision' and "...plans to proceed accordingly."
