Bruce Bronster (Partner, New York) spoke to Law360 on January 27 about a recent survey which found that, despite doubting that Lower Manhattan will be storm-proofed, real estate executives believe downtown property prices will rise as the area becomes increasingly desirable to tenants.

Bruce said:

  • "I think that people get a false sense that it can never happen, or that the fact that Sandy came along means it won't happen for another 1,000 years."
  • "All of these factors have strongly influenced downtown pricing. Whether a storm's coming or not, there's a need downtown.
