Case Win - Bruce Bronster and Matt Friedenberg Win Summary Judgment for Prominent Developer
OCTOBER 31, 2013

In re: Verizon New York, Inc. v. Newmark Building Services, et. al.

On behalf of a prominent national real estate developer, Bruce Bronster and Matt Friedenberg recently won summary judgment dismissing a Fortune 100 communication company's complaint seeking $350,000 in damages due to a construction accident at our client's building.

Commenced in New York County Supreme Court, the adversary claimed that our client damaged fiber optic cables during excavation work at the building. However, our team convinced the Court that the adversary failed to establish corporate ownership and control of the building, and therefore failed to establish that our client owed the adversary an actionable duty of care under New York law.
