Our Style and Philosophy

What sets one law firm apart from another? Clearly, the quality of a firm’s lawyers and the sum of their individual experience. There are also other factors, relating to style and philosophy of practice:

We Are Results-Oriented. Most legal matters benefit from the focused attention of an experienced attorney, capable of clearly defining the issues and proposing a suitable plan of action. We look for the most economical and advantageous approach to achieve the client’s objectives.

We Stress Efficient Staffing. Our partner/associate ratio is roughly one-to-one, an approach we believe achieves greater productivity and accountability, resulting in advantages for attorney and client alike.

Our Partners Are Involved. Our partners are accessible for conferences and questions and are closely involved in the substance of client matters. They are productive attorneys, fully engaged on behalf of the clients they serve, not merely administrators of junior attorneys.

Our Associates Are Experienced. We assign associates judiciously, and they bring value to their work because they are exposed early to a broad range of client matters. Working closely with experienced partners, they learn quickly and contribute substantively at an early stage.

We Are Responsive To Our Clients. We act in concert with our clients to achieve agreed-upon goals, taking the initiative in defining issues and projecting costs to meet the client’s objectives. We provide frequent reports of substantive progress, are responsive to client concerns, and are frank about resources required to complete the task. Whether we interface with our clients, business executives or in-house counsel, we realize that our advice is required within the context of our clients’ business objectives and not in a vacuum.
